Free trial was great

I tried BILL for the first time, specifically for their expense management. The 30-day free trial was a big draw. I was able to fully test it without commitment. It integrated with QuickBooks like they said it would, which saved me a lot of manual entry. Felt like a good value, especially since I didn't pay anything upfront to see if it fit our needs. I'm likely to subscribe now.

Used it for expense reports

So I decided to give BILL a shot for expense reports. My team was struggling with our old system. It was pretty easy to get everyone on board, and they picked it up fast. The mobile app payments are nice; makes it simple when people are out in the field. It just kinda worked, you know? No huge drama or anything. The integration with Xero was smooth too, which was a relief. Overall, a solid experience.

Consistent service

This is my third time using BILL, primarily for their ACH payments and vendor management. I keep coming back because it's just so reliable. This experience was consistent with my previous ones; payments processed as expected, and the vendor portal worked without a hitch. I also appreciate the audit trails, which are always clear. It's a key tool in our financial stack now. Good to know I can count on it.

Streamlined payments well

We've been using BILL for a few months now, mainly for accounts payable and international payments. Ordering the service was straightforward, just signed up on their site. Delivery of the service, meaning access to the platform, was immediate. I had a small question about setting up a vendor, and support responded to my email within a few hours. The quality of the automation is good; it actually reduced our payment processing time significantly. The interface is intuitive, didn't take long for my team to get the hang of it. We also integrated it with NetSuite, and that sync has been pretty reliable. It's definitely helped with our cash flow forecasting too.

I saw something about a referral bonus. How do you even get one of those? Is it like a promo code you enter?

M Michelle S. 2 days ago
You usually get them through a referral link from an existing user or an accountant who partners with them. It applies automatically when you sign up through that specific link.

J Justin Gomez 2 days ago
Nah, it's not really a promo code. Usually, someone has to send you a special link or sign up through a partner page. That's how I got my sign-up credit.

Anyone compared BILL to Melio for AP? We're a small business and looking for the easiest option.

D Daniel Ramirez 1 week ago
I checked both out. BILL has more features for like, full-on expense management and corporate cards, but Melio is simpler if you just need basic bill pay. Depends on how much you want to automate beyond just paying vendors.

Melio is a bit more straightforward if you're super small and just need to send payments. BILL starts to shine if you have more complex approval workflows or want to use their credit card features too.

How long do ACH payments usually take with BILL? Trying to manage cash flow and need to know what to expect.

Z Zach T. 1 week ago
Typically a few business days, like 3-5. Depends on the bank too sometimes. Wires are faster if you need urgent stuff.

From my experience, 2-3 business days is pretty standard for ACH. Always plan for the longer end just to be safe.

Hey guys, thinking about trying BILL for our small biz AP. Is the free trial actually useful or super limited?

R Ryan H. 2 weeks ago
Yeah, it's pretty good. I got the 30 days and could basically test out everything before committing. Definitely worth it to see if it fits your workflow.

It's a full-featured trial, so no major limitations. You can run payments and everything, just gotta be mindful of the processing times if you're close to month end.

Does BILL integrate well with QuickBooks Online? I heard some payment platforms can be a nightmare to sync up.

A Amber Torres 5 days ago
Mine synced up no problem with QBO. It pulls in vendor data and posts transactions directly. Made reconciliation way faster for us.

Yeah, it's one of their main integrations. I mean, it's not always instantaneous, but it works consistently. Haven't had any major headaches.

What if I need to return something or cancel a payment? Is it a huge hassle with BILL's system?

S Susan Garcia 1 month ago
Canceling payments before they process is pretty easy in the platform. Haven't had to do a full 'return' through them, but I assume it would depend on the vendor's policy.

M Matt Walker 1 month ago
If the payment hasn't gone out yet, you can usually stop it with a few clicks. If it's already sent, it gets a bit more involved, like any other payment system where you'd have to deal with the recipient.

Thinking about the Divvy card too. Is it actually free to use, or are there hidden fees lurking around?

J Jason Smith 3 days ago
The card itself is free. They make their money elsewhere, like interchange fees. Just pay your balance on time and you're good.

R Rachel R. 3 days ago
Yep, no annual fees or anything. It's tied to their expense management stuff, which is pretty handy. I use it for all our recurring SaaS payments.
